POLISH TITLE: WYPASIONY RAJ

A shepherd's ballad about Zbigniew Łagosz, the last shepherd-loner in the Beskidy Mountains. Polany Surowiczne is a place hidden among mountains and trees with meadows providing food to cattle and space for horses. For the film's protagonist, it is his perfect retreat where he can “jabber to himself”. Zbigniew lives in a wooden hut that resembles a trailer. He has a dog helper called Łemek, legs aching from “roaming the mountains” and a chronic cough caused by “ciggies”. Yet, he still remains in his retreat.
