The self-referential nature of Rafał Łysak’s documentary enables the viewer to gain a better understanding of the unique relationship between a twenty-something-old grandson and his grandma. The woman is unable to accept the boy’s homosexuality although he is someone very important for her. Teresa is a women of set views who, due to traditional religiousness, perceives Rafał’s sexual orientation in moral categories. At the same time, she is concerned about his future because she cannot see a different way of life for a young man than a marriage with a woman.

Rafał Łysak made his debut with the documentary "Unconditional Love", which won many awards at film festivals in 2018 and 2019, including the Golden Hobby-Horse at the Krakow Film Festival, „Filmmaker of the Year” award at  West Lake International Documentary Festival, the best short movie award and audience award at Molodist Festival, Grand Prix at Zobroffka, OFF Cinema and Solanin festivals and many others. His second documentary "The Beating Heart of Warsaw" is currently being broadcast by Polish Television. In 2024 he finished his next two documentaries: „Two Cigarettes” and „Casting”. „Casting” was made as part of the „Young Poland” Scholarship awarded by the Minister of Culture. He also makes short feature films; one of the scripts made it to the finals of the Script Pro 2025 competition. He is working on a full-length feature debut (the script received the main prize in the Script Mentoring competition organized by the Mazovian Film Fund).
