THERE ONCE WAS A WAR
POLISH TITLE: BYŁA WOJNA
Rymanów is a small town at the foothills of the Carpathians which, before World War II, was populated by a multicultural community. The war and German occupation destroyed this world for ever. Several young people who come here on holiday are trying to investigate the truth about this tragic period, including its worst moments burdening the Polish conscience. Interviews with local residents are complemented with archival materials and fragments of a private journal from the time of the war.
