Closer is a project of a documentary movie featuring the story of three couples living in a long distance relationships. The plot focusses on the struggle of the characters to overcome the difficulties that are caused by the distance that separates them and the struggle for change. Each couple is different - the scale of distance, the stage of relationship and the social background. We get to know the first couple during a seven day period which they spend together after a long separation. The second we observe while they are apart so we are introduced to each character independently. The third couple faces a different scenario. Their situation seems, in many ways, the simplest because the distance separating them is relatively small. However, they chose to stay apart. They don’t fight it, they accept the situation as it is. Could it be that ones that are the closest geographically are actually the most distant?
